St. Rose Dominican Hospital The journey of St. Rose Dominican Hospital – from its inception in 1947 to its remarkable growth into the new millenium -- is one inspired by timeless values.
Those values are firmly rooted in the hospital’s sponsors, the Adrian Dominican Sisters, whose even more remarkable legacy of service to the poor, sick and oppressed is a tradition dating back to 12th century France. Today, St. Rose Dominican Hospital is the only not-for-profit, non-tax supported, and religiously sponsored hospital in southern Nevada.
The legacy of quality, compassionate healthcare in Southern Nevada began in 1947 with the Rose de Lima Campus. In its first 25 years, Rose de Lima Hospital became a trailblazing health care institution, the first to obtain a nuclear medicine laboratory and fully accredited cancer treatment center and other services such as intensive care, physical therapy, inhalation therapy and diagnostic units. St. Rose was also the first fully accredited hospital in Southern Nevada. In that tradition, the hospital has expanded over the years to the state-of-the-art, 143 bed facility it is today. The Rose de Lima Campus offers an array of inpatient and outpatient services, including cardiology, oncology, radiology, spiritual care, emergency and home health services.
In 2000, St. Rose Dominican hospital opened its second acute care facility to respond to the growing healthcare needs of the residents of Southern Nevada. The Siena campus offers 141- beds and a myriad of both inpatient and outpatient services including a Joint Replacent Center and Open Heart Surgery Program.
Together the two campuses of St. Rose Dominican Hospital feature nearly 800 affiliated physicians and 1,700 employees who carry out the values based, mission driven philosophy of its founders.
Working on close-knit teams, our employees are dedicated to practicing the values-based philosophy of our founders. We're here because we want to be, and that makes a real difference. Our patients recognize that our concern is genuine and appreciate the time we take to get to know them and to understand their needs. We're also fortunate to have the latest equipment and technologies at hand. But the equipment is really secondary to the quality of our personalized attention. Your contributions to maintaining our high levels of care and patient satisfaction are critical, and as a member of our team, you'll feel appreciated and know that you are valued.
