Serving Southern Nevada for over three decades, CSN is America’s third largest single college, multicampus college. CSN is also Nevada’s largest institution of higher education and job trainer in over 75 career fields with over 35,000 students in 200 degree and technical programs. and. Based on three main campuses and 50 academic centers in four counties, the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) serves two-thirds of the state’s population and has prepared over 1,000,000 students for the workforce.
CSN specializes in accounting and finance, automotive, aviation, business, computing, dental hygiene and nursing, drafting and graphics, law enforcement and public service, resorts and gaming, teacher education and telecommunications.
The college opened the $20 million science building at West Charleston campus in 2003 to help educate professionals in 20 medical fields and other high-demand, high tech industries. In 2004, the $20 million Morse Arberry Jr. Telecommunications building on the Cheyenne campus opened to expand CSN’s programs in various high demand electronic and mass media technologies. In 2005, CSN dedicated the $20 million Health Sciences building on the West Charleston campus to expand CSN’s 32 medical academic programs. A $25 milliamp dollar classroom building/learning center will open on the Charleston campus in 2007.
CSN also boasts the National Junior College 2003 World Series Champion men’s baseball team. The Coyotes play at the beautiful $2 million Lied Field at the Henderson campus.
CSN is open seven days per week and offers more than 3,000 classes each semester. Financial aid, counseling, academic planning, child care services, career and job services, TRIO program, tutorial services, Women's Center, WICHE, and a variety of services are available to students.
