Las Vegas Electrical Engineering Jobs
Electrical engineering is the plan, design and development of electrical systems and electrical products. Electrical engineers may work on a broad spectrum of projects, including power plants, telecommunications, lighting, radar and navigation systems, utilities, and consumer products.
There are always a variety of electrical engineering jobs in Las Vegas. Many entry level positions require just a bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty and licensure. Those new to the field may take additional classes and work under the direction of an experienced engineer.
Most Las Vegas electrical engineering jobs are best suited for those who already hold master’s degrees (or even doctorate degrees). This is a field where education and experience are reflected in salary. According to the U. S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, an electrical engineer can expect to earn anywhere from $49,120 (for a starting position) to more than $115,240.
In Southern Nevada, electrical engineers are in demand in a variety of industries, including technology, health care, communications and science. To keep up with growth, engineers with experience in energy and power and solar energy are particularly in demand.
