LOCATION:
Highway Maintenance Workers perform roadway, roadside and structural maintenance activities to restore the roadway surface and maintain the integrity of State highways.
Temporary positions are typically used for extra help in the winter for snow plow operation, anti-icing activities and assistance in emergency operations, and in the spring and summer for roadway maintenance and repair.

To Qualify
Education and Experience
1)One year of experience as a general laborer or semi-skilled worker that demonstrates an ability and dexterity to operate tools and equipment.
Special Requirements
1)Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.
Additional Position Experience
1)This recruitment is for temporary (under 6 months in duration) work only.
2)The TEMPORARY Highway Maintenance Worker I and II require that applicants possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
