Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position supports Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (SNAMHS), located at 6161 W. Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas. Our Agency's mission is to help adults with mental illness improve their quality of life. Through a team approach, we provide innovative inpatient and outpatient mental health services for the Southern Nevada community. Some of the valuable services we provide include Psychiatric Emergency Services, Inpatient Services, Mobile Crises, Outpatient Counseling, Service Coordination, Intensive Service Coordination, Medication Clinic, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Residential Support Programs, Mental Health Court, Senior Outreach, Consumer Advocacy and Programs for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) teams. Inpatient services are provided through the new Rawson-Neal Psychiatric Hospital. Outpatient services are provided through five mental health clinics located throughout the community. We are accredited by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. The position will coordinate and obtain community services for clients, actively participate on the treatment team, develop treatment plans, and provide crisis intervention. Emphasis on utilizing the recovery model, formulating individualized treatment plans that lead to self sufficiency. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards, as well as established laws, regulations and SNAMHS policies. This is a full-time position (We have FT, PT and Flex schedule positions available) with a work schedule of 8a.m. to 5p.m. Monday through Friday, with Saturday and Sunday off. To Qualify
Education and Experience
1)Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers.
Special Notes
1)Incumbents must obtain and maintain licensure or provisional licensure to engage in social work as a Clinical Social Worker or associate in social work in accordance with NRS Chapter 641B and the regulations adopted by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers.
2)Persons employed by a government agency on July 1, 1988 as a social worker, supervisor of social work or administrator of social work who were performing clinical social work duties, and who possess a license to practice as an associate in social work and who meet the experience requirements are eligible to compete in the selection process for this series.

1)A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
2)A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
3)A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
